Level 0   Processing provided by LaRC DAAC which includes sorted and unique records. Raw instrument data. Two major types required for standard data processing: science packets (4 APIDs), and state data (1 APID)
Level 1A   Decommutate (undo prior substitutions) and geolocate raw science data, and format for permanent archive. Raw instrument data in reconstructed interferogram format, with instrument state data and geolocation data appended.
Level 1B   Fourier transform of interferograms into spectra, and perform radiometric, phase and spectral calibration. Calibrated spectra at full spatial and spectral resolution.
Level 1 Reqts   Unable to be met by SIPS, descope plan needed
Level 2   Extract temperature and species concentration profiles, and format for permanent archive. Nvertical temperature and species abundance profiles.
Level 3   Resample Level 2 profiles onto uniform space/time grids for input to modeling. Global maps of Level 2 data. One set of maps is created for every four-day global survey cycle.
